Friday, 14 April 2006 I went to Mr and Mrs Brennan's home give a quote for hanging wallpaper in the lounge, I also quoted for stripping the stairway, and porch, and hanging wallpaper on the stairway They ummed and erred about the quoted prices, said they would have to save up, and would give me a call if they decided to go with my quote. Saturday, 22 April 2006 I received a phone call saying they would like me to go ahead with wallpapering the lounge. Tuesday, 25 April 2006 At 9:00AM I arrived at the property and hung the wallpaper that they had provided, they were present all day, apart from the half an hour that Mr Brennan went to buy another roll of wallpaper. They asked a lot of questions while I was there, mainly about other work I had done. At 5:00PM I completed the job, and was paid 120.00 GBP before I left. Wednesday, 26 April 2006 I received a telephone complaint from Mrs Brennan about paper match in corners 18 hours after the job was completed when they had been present all day and happily paid for the work I had done. At 7:00PM I arrived at their house to see what the problem was. I was asked to replace the Anaglypta or refund 90.00 GBP (actual cost was later found to be 62.82 GBP). They said if they couldn't find the same paper they would choose something different, so I suggested that they weren't happy with their original choice. At 8:00PM Mrs Brennan phoned me and requested that I give her 190.00 GBP refund when they had only paid 120.00 GBP for the work I had done. She said "I am reporting you to the tax office for doing work and not declaring it. You refused to give me a receipt" l replied that she hadn't asked for one, (as she hadn't) to which she replied that she did, and that she had a witness. Saturday, 29 April 2006 Mr Brennan went to Othello restaurant, demanding to see the work I had done. I was told he was ranting and raving, and causing a scene at the restaurant. And he had to be told to leave the premises. Wednesday 3 May 2006 I received a letter from Mrs Brennan giving me 7 days to respond. Saturday 6 May 2006 I received another letter from Mrs Brennan Tuesday 9 May 2006 Mrs Brennan received a letter from me stating my intentions on the matter, and that I would not be subject to blackmail threats, harassment, and her nuisance phone calls. I later received a letter from her insurance company, claiming the recompense, to which I replied the same and forwarded all correspondence between Mrs Brennan and myself.
